FLASH FICTION. Make your words count! In flash fiction, the author’s challenge is to get a story idea into a compact form of approximately 1000 words without sacrificing crucial details. This fun literary challenge is a great way to hone your creativity and boost writing skills. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop to put new learning into practice during the class.

BUILDING STRONG CHARACTERS. Give your characters the magnetism that develops a sense of connection with your readers. Come with existing ideas, or brainstorm some new ones. In this session, your characters will begin to take on a life of their own. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop to put new learning into practice during the class.

THE TRAIL OF A MUSE PART 1. From idea to publication, this two part session gives the basics for transferring thoughts into a book that can be shared with others. In part 1 we will explore how to get started, the essentials for story construction, what to do about ‘writer’s block’, how to back up your work, and more! This is a full, power packed session that will get you on the road to publishing your creation. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop to put new learning into practice during the class.

THE TRAIL OF A MUSE PART 2. This session is part 2 of 2. During the session students will sign up for their own CreateSpace account and prepare their book for upload.
